What is a Speedgate System?
The Speedgate category of optical turnstiles utilises glass barriers as a physical deterrent. The barriers either retract into the turnstile pedestal or are of the very popular swing barrier type.
Communicate with the turnstile over computer networks via Fastlane Connect, which features a web page generator in each turnstile. In other words, this enables remote connections over TCP/IP from any authorised computer or mobile device connected to the network. Thus, making your system a speed gate, a fast lane
A detailed remote control facility is included and operable without additional software via a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer. Therefore, Remote controls include single and visitor access, cardless entry, lane closure, and barrier-free operation.

Accessibility
One of the most important factors to take into account with Fastlane Speedgates is Accessibility, especially in busy areas. It is just as important that these systems are an accessible gate, as they are an access control system. All of our Speedgate systems are installed to be an ADA turnstile system too, whilst losing none of the security benefits.
Just because these gates are optimised, doesn’t mean they have to look unappealing, for instance like chassis braces. Fastlane Optical Turnstiles are meant to be the best of both worlds: visually appealing and effective. Hence why glass turnstiles are the go to choice.
A Fastlane System will have to meet many requirements and regulations. The BDS team will be able to make sure your system is ticking all the boxes. So, our recommendation would be a gate of a width around 32 inches access controlled gate,
